The Climbing Wall Association, in cooperation with Leahy & Associates, and Focus Communications has issued a general call for proposals for pre-symposium and symposium workshops. If you have a topic that is relevant to the sport of climbing, climbing wall management, or climbing wall operations and would like to share your knowledge, information, or skills with others, please submit a proposal for a pre-symposium or symposium presentation.
Pre-symposium workshops will be offered in a half-day or full-day format (April 12th). Symposium workshops will be offered in a 50 or 100 minute format (April 13th or 14th). Pre-symposium workshops may be longer than one day, if necessary, but must conclude prior to the start of the symposium. The workshop format can be educational, informational, an activity/skill, a round table discussion, or a panel discussion. Workshop proposals should address the various needs and interests of the climbing wall industry, the owner/operator, or manager. Topics may include: administration, risk management, marketing, training, competitions, current issues or trends, and special topics.
The symposium will be held in Boulder, Colorado, at the Boulder Outlook Hotel. The hotel has three large meeting rooms available for both pre-symposium and symposium workshops. Boulder also offers world-class indoor and outdoor rock climbing venues for off site workshops. We invite you to join us as a presenter.
