The Climbing Wall Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Kenneth Cronin to the CWA Board of Directors. Kenneth is the co-owner of Crag X Indoor Climbing Centre, located in Victoria, BC. He's an accomplished business owner with more than 25 years experience in the rock climbing industry. His background combines experience at a climbing hold and flooring company, as well as many years on the front lines of building and managing climbing gyms.

Kenneth is a very active and engaged member of the CWA, including as a member of the Work-at-Height committee that drafted the new Work-at-Height standard. As a Canadian, Kenneth offers an international perspective on the industry and will help the CWA better serve our international members. We are confident he will make an excellent addition to the CWA board.

“I’m glad to join the board and contribute to the work the CWA is doing to move our industry forward,” Kenneth said in a statement. "I’m especially interested in expanding the CWA in Canada and keeping our voluntary association ahead of trends in safety and operations"

Bill Zimmermann, President and CEO of the Climbing Wall Association, remarked, "Kenneth's participation on the CWA board marks another successful transition from the organization's founding – an important step in the development of the organization. I feel that his participation on the board, and his experience as a Canadian member, are important to the CWA's future success."

Outside of his work in the climbing industry, Kenneth has served on the board of the Ottawa Internationals Soccer Club and is a regular volunteer with Shepherd's of Good Hope Soup Kitchen.
