S2 Verify Background Check Services

CWA is pleased to offer background check services through S2 Verify at specially negotiated member rates with no setup charges. Below you will find information about the different types of searches and associated member pricing.

 S2Verify’s industry leading background screening service is an easy and secure way to screen volunteers & employees. The service covers all fifty states, plus the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico, returning all statewide criminal records, sex offender data, department of corrections and county criminal records from state and local agencies. Searches can be initiated by an administrator from your company. All results are adjudicated by S2 Verify staff.

 

The basic screening offered includes the National Criminal Records File and Sexual Offender Registry. Additional optional screening packages, (social security trace, motor vehicle record, and current county search), may be needed for employees and volunteers based on their positions. Important: background checks are subject to state and federal laws. Please consult your attorney if you have any questions about developing a lawful background screening process or if you have any questions or concerns about your rights as an employer or the rights and privileges of individuals subject to background screening. US Background checks are subject to federal anti-discrimination laws and other laws such as the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) and the Fair and Accurate Credit Transactions Act of 2003 (FACT Act or FACTA). These laws require subjects of background checks to receive written notice and to sign an authorization to permit you to secure a background check. Furthermore, you have obligations to the consumer if you take adverse action on the basis of certain background check results. Please review the compliance documents on the S2 Verify web site. State laws do vary and may impose additional requirements on you as an employer, remember to consult your attorney before implementing a background screening program.

Payments 

*NOTE, you need to be a current CWA member to access these services and prices. Additional pass-through fees may apply to both motor vehicle records and current county searches depending upon your jurisdiction. No set-up fees, maintenance fees, support or monthly subscription fees are charged by S2 Verify. Organizations choosing to use the S2 Verify service for background check screening will be charged by credit card monthly.
