A huge thank you to our Advisory Group of industry leaders who have generously donated their time, energy, and expertise to help the CWA organize this workshop!

Renee DeAngelisRenee DeAngelis, COO, El Cap: Earth Treks, Planet Granite & Movement

"Shared vulnerability, tossing around new ideas and lending support is common ground to climbers—it’s what we do in sport and in business. This is an opportunity to learn a new framework in which to view the challenges ahead, and to widen your network and lean into our community for support."

Hilary HarrisHilary Harris, Founder, EVO Rock + Fitness

"We gym owners and staff are all grappling with how to connect with climbers and be as safe as possible in the midst of COVID. Collectively we are facing numerous challenges, not least how we can survive as an industry if this virus continues to be a threat. This workshop is the perfect opportunity for us to learn from one another and think outside of the box. Let us not forget the old adage - 'necessity is the mother of invention.'"

Kristin HorowitzKristin Tara Horowitz, CEO, The Pad Climbing + Ascent Ventures

"CWA has been working hard the past few months to give us all access to some of the luminaries in our industry. This will be no different."

Alice KaoAlice Kao, Co-Founder & CEO, Sender One Climbing

"Collaboration amongst the climbing industry is more important than ever. The way we are going to get through this pandemic is by climbing together!"

Michael LaryMichael Lary, Co-Owner, Source Climbing Center

"Even with 20 years of experience in the industry, I rely on events like these for continued growth. These events help me avoid a singular view of this industry and my own business. More than hearing and reading about solutions, I am looking forward to the chance to actively discuss and refine those ideas. The strength of our industry depends on gyms of every size and region operating in a smart and sustainable way."

Brad WerntzBrad Werntz, Founder + President, Boulders Climbing Gym

"I'm really psyched about this workshop. In this time of unprecedented disruption, it's been amazing to see the climbing gym industry come together and help one another. And we're not done yet, not by a long shot; we have more rough ground to cover, and we'll get to the other side of it, together."
